After the storms, look for the rainbow.
2020 was a tough year for all of us, but an especially difficult year for our family.
We lost more than we should have done in 2020 and my mental health and creativity suffered from it. But in April 2021, my youngest son Chester asked me to make him a dreamcatcher, to help with his bad dreams. This is when my passion for macramé began!
I found myself pouring over every tutorial video and book there was on macramé and became absolutely hooked. What started off as a little hobby for me last summer quickly snowballed into a full-time job!
Named after my two sons, Elijah and Chester, my business Piglet&Chestnut creates handcrafted macramé and art for the home. I strive to be as eco-friendly as possible, and so use high-quality, recycled cotton as well as packaging in recyclable materials and even liaising with a company to plant trees, to offset carbon emissions produced via transport of orders.
From wall tapestries to plant hangers, nursery accessories and dining décor, Piglet&Chestnut craft it all.
Recently, I have also launched two new DIY macramé kits (with many more to come!), so you can also try your hand at this beautiful craft.
